FoSA

What is FoSA?

The role of FoSA (Friends of St. Andrew's) is to promote contact and goodwill between parents and the school, principally by arranging social events from which funds are raised to buy extras to enhance the children’s school experience. Class representatives facilitate communication between parents in their forms by distributing lists of parent contact details and arranging termly get-togethers.

Class reps also participate in the main events put on by FoSA. During the last 12 months FoSA has hosted a Race Night, a Christmas Quiz Night, Fireworks for Chinese New Year and a summer fete.

Who are FoSA?

All parents of St. Andrew's children are invited to join FoSA or 'Friends of St. Andrew's'. Each class is represented by parent volunteers and their efforts are co-ordinated by a chairperson, treasurer and two secretaries, who are also parent volunteers with the Chair being voted into office.

What has been achieved?

Funds raised by FoSA in the past have been used to buy an additional minibus, outdoor amphitheatre (Lower Lodge) which is used by both Pre-Prep and the senior school as an outdoor classroom, shelter and facility for small productions, a stage and curtains for the school hall, additional tricycles for the Pre-Prep play areas and kit for the school orienteering team.

The current projects are to help fund the Pre-Prep playground equipment and to raise funds for a decked viewing area adjacent to the astro turf.
