School Council Blog week commencing 7th October 2019
There are plenty of weeks that are unique at St. Andrew's. Indeed, there never seems to be a 'normal' week that doesn't have some kind of event or celebration in it which is something we are all very grateful for. However, last week will take some beating in the life and history of the school. The formal opening of the Little Field Theatre and facilities was always going to be a grand success and to have them opened by HRH The Duke of Kent added a special feeling that many of the children in this school will never forget. It was truly an honour for all of us to be part of. The week concluded with an incredible House Poetry competition in which the children of St. Andrew's again astounded everybody with their ability to remember and recite poetry in such a way that the poets themselves would be proud of. Winners were Diamonds but there were some outstanding performances across the school. Well done to all!
