Meet St. Andrew's New Eco Committee
We are delighted to report that following the recent School Council meeting, St. Andrew's now has its first Eco Committee (Eco Council) representing all the pupils in Years 3-8. This is a very important step towards achieving the first target of a Bronze Level award in our longer term quest of achieving full Eco School status and the coveted Green Flag award.
In addition, I am very pleased that Miss Keygan will also be on the Eco Council, along with myself, as we collectively engage in tackling a variety of environmental issues within the school.
The Eco Council's first task will be to undertake a thorough audit and survey of the school to establish some priority goals on waste reduction and increasing biodiversity in the school grounds.
