Success at the British Schools' Score Orienteering Championships
Our orienteering squad joined schools from all over the country in Heaton Park, Manchester, last Saturday for the British Schools’ Score Orienteering Championships last Saturday. ‘Score’ orienteering means visiting as many check points as possible in a set time, 45mins, which involves even more skills than the traditional format; planning, timekeeping, decision making and stamina as well as navigation and speed.
Our squad excelled themselves and came first in the Boys Prep School category. The team members whose scores counted were Daniel, Harrison, Jack and George. Daniel also came first in the Year 5 boys category with a superb 160 points. Congratulations to the whole squad for making such a tremendous effort on the day.
